Twenty-six people participated in a fun run/walk to raise funds for the Zimbabwe Rural Schools Library in Hamilton, New Zealand, on 2 March 2019. After a welcome address by event organisers Shefali and Shivani Sinha, Guest of Honour Dr. Tinashe Ngarora applauded the trust for a noble initiative and encouraged children to read in order to realise their dreams.

Member of Parliament for Hamilton West Tim Macindoe expressed appreciation to all those who had made an effort to come and support the effort by the trust to make a difference in the lives of the rural children of Zimbabwe.
Councillor Siggi Henry reminded people living in New Zealand how privileged they were as they had access to reading material in comparison with those living in developing countries.
Judith Mukakayange of the New Zealand AIDS African Communities Programme who provided refreshments for the event applauded the Trust for the noble work being done and hope for continued partnership between the Foundation and the Trust.

The Trust’s Goodwill Ambassador Faustinah Ndlovu inspired the participants with a song before they took the journey round Lake Rotoroa (Lake Hamilton).
